How to Find a Good Blog Nich

Finding a good blog niche is definitely the hardest and most important step to build online business. If you choose a bad, over-promoted and very competitive blog niche, you will have to spend great amount of time and money to get customers via the search engines and then you have to keep the rankings which is also not an easy task. If you are new first check out what a niche is.
Here is great post about how not to choose a blog niche.
To sum it all up, the traffic and search numbers I saw for cop training were skewed because there are other terms that have the words cop training that are being searched for too. Usually, this is always the case and is totally fine because those other terms are terms related to that blog niche, however in my case, I was very unfortunate because those other keywords were totally unrelated.

For most of those who are beginners with blog niche finding this task is a rather complex task. There are many steps that must be done and if one is done badly the result will be useless. To get the proper blog niche you should know all the steps and do them properly.
Fortunately, there are many great tutorials on the nest which can help to learn the process of niche research. One of my favorite tutorial is made by PotPie Girl.
To me, the “perfect” niche market is when I match the “who” with the “what” and find that the demand for that info/product is HIGH, but the supply of resources offering it is LOW or is of low-quality.
Yup, right back to good ol’ supply and demand =)
Finding a niche market is not difficult – the only tool that is absolutely necessary is your brain.
Make a list of things you like to do… then, make a list of all the types of people who also like to do what you do. See what is available online for these folks. See if you can make it better.

A very helpful solution is to use some sort of niche finder software that helps to analyze you markets and relevant keywords. They can extremely help to make the process of niche research faster and much more accurate. There are many niche finder software on the market. Here are three of the best that I personally use.
Market Samurai – All in one solution to find keywords that are really profitable. It can be also use for SEO purposes.
Niche Finder Software – This is another rather easy to use tool to find niches.
To be successful with internet marketing you should find a micro niche or a sub-niche. What is a micro niche? Here is a great example to understand.
To find a micro niche, you would first take a look at the market. For this example we will use golf. Golf is a huge market and for a new site it would be very hard to rank anywhere near the top of the search engines. So you would then look for a niche in golf, lets say golf clubs. This is still a very large blog niche and again would be very hard to rank in the search engines. So we would drill down further into the niche, say drivers. Still quite a large niche and still probably hard to rank. We could drill this blog niche down even further, lets say left handed drivers. This is a much smaller niche and would be a lot easier to rank in the search engines than drivers, golf clubs or golf. Left handed drivers would be a micro niche. I am not sure how competitive this micro niche would be, it is just an example. After some research you may find this micro niche is still very competitive so you could drill down even further, to a certain manufacturers left handed drivers. The search traffic would be a lot less though.
