What Google Panda Really Wants From Blogs

For many years the “Content is King” statement was around the internet and it worked well. Since the last Google update called Google Panda this statement is truer than ever before, but I have to say content is not enough now, it must be fresh. Just think about those article directories like Ezinearticles that have been badly affected by Google Panda, because they contains low-quality content. Google and other search engines need content that is fresh and trendy, topics that are people are talking about and share. That is the key factor to get high rank in Google and that is what Google Panda is about.
Google Panda Wants Fresh Content!
What do I mean by fresh content? In my point of view, fresh content is something that is usually updated and it is not over optimized for search engines, but for the readers. It has interesting, newsworthy topic and tells about what is going on nowadays. The best example are pages like Twitter or Facebook where people are interested in what is going on now.
Moreover, if your content is boring and has not got something new it will not be shared and that also means less traffic for you. If you content is enjoyable, useful, unique etc. people will share it so you will get traffic without search engines, on top of that this content is also loved by Google. So fresh content is the only walkable way for long term success.
How you can create fresh content? Simply, by updating the old ones, that is all. Giving some extra info or even remove some that is not actual anymore. This will show Google that you are following the latest trends and you are well-informed about that topic providing always fresh and useful content. So Google will surely give higher rankings.
Another good way to get fresh content is enabling commenting. Though, your post must something that people want to comment on. Of course, you should approve those comments that are useful and relevant to the topic. This also suggest Google that your content is something fresh and newsworthy.
Last, but not least you can always make your content updated by adding medias just like images, videos, audios etc. or oven external links to other high quality related content to feed Google Panda.
To conclude, Google Panda is not as “dangerous” as it seems, we only have to feed it on the right way with fresh, unique, quality content.

About Long Tail Keywords for Bloggers

About Long Tail Keywords

These are keywords that are longer, containing at least three or more words. Since shorter keywords are generally very competitive, you should consider to find these sort of keywords. Basically, these keywords have less searches, but the competition is not so serious, so you have much higher chance that your optimized content will rank higher in search engines. Fortunately, there are good long tail keyword research software that helps you to find these sort of keywords simply.

How to Find a Good Blog Nich

Finding a good blog niche is definitely the hardest and most important step to build online business. If you choose a bad, over-promoted and very competitive blog niche, you will have to spend great amount of time and money to get customers via the search engines and then you have to keep the rankings which is also not an easy task. If you are new first check out what a niche is.
Here is great post about how not to choose a blog niche.
To sum it all up, the traffic and search numbers I saw for cop training were skewed because there are other terms that have the words cop training that are being searched for too. Usually, this is always the case and is totally fine because those other terms are terms related to that blog niche, however in my case, I was very unfortunate because those other keywords were totally unrelated.
Read on: The Niche I Selected is Bad, and Here’s Why
For most of those who are beginners with blog niche finding this task is a rather complex task. There are many steps that must be done and if one is done badly the result will be useless. To get the proper blog niche you should know all the steps and do them properly.
Fortunately, there are many great tutorials on the nest which can help to learn the process of niche research. One of my favorite tutorial is made by PotPie Girl.
To me, the “perfect” niche market is when I match the “who” with the “what” and find that the demand for that info/product is HIGH, but the supply of resources offering it is LOW or is of low-quality.
Yup, right back to good ol’ supply and demand =)
Finding a niche market is not difficult – the only tool that is absolutely necessary is your brain.
Make a list of things you like to do… then, make a list of all the types of people who also like to do what you do. See what is available online for these folks. See if you can make it better.
More here: How to Find Niche Markets
A very helpful solution is to use some sort of niche finder software that helps to analyze you markets and relevant keywords. They can extremely help to make the process of niche research faster and much more accurate. There are many niche finder software on the market. Here are three of the best that I personally use.
Market Samurai – All in one solution to find keywords that are really profitable. It can be also use for SEO purposes.
Niche Finder Software – This is another rather easy to use tool to find niches.
To be successful with internet marketing you should find a micro niche or a sub-niche. What is a micro niche? Here is a great example to understand.
To find a micro niche, you would first take a look at the market. For this example we will use golf. Golf is a huge market and for a new site it would be very hard to rank anywhere near the top of the search engines. So you would then look for a niche in golf, lets say golf clubs. This is still a very large blog niche and again would be very hard to rank in the search engines. So we would drill down further into the niche, say drivers. Still quite a large niche and still probably hard to rank. We could drill this blog niche down even further, lets say left handed drivers. This is a much smaller niche and would be a lot easier to rank in the search engines than drivers, golf clubs or golf. Left handed drivers would be a micro niche. I am not sure how competitive this micro niche would be, it is just an example. After some research you may find this micro niche is still very competitive so you could drill down even further, to a certain manufacturers left handed drivers. The search traffic would be a lot less though.

And there is a great tool called Micro Niche Finder that helps to find great untapped micro niches easily.

How to Make SEO Friendly Urls for Your Blog

Make SEO Friendly Urls for Your Blog

Why do you need to optimize your URL on your website? When a search engine like Google crawls your website one of the first things it checks is the URL of the web page. Having SEO friendly URLs is extremely crucial and now it is a ranking factor. Here, you can find some tips on how to make the URLs of your web pages search engine friendly.
  1. Whenever you make any sort of post, you should insert the keyword within the address. For example, this post is about making “SEO friendly URLs“. If you check out, the phrase is inserted in the URL. On the other hand, avoid using “stop words” such as “a”, “an”, “the” etc. These words are unnecessary to understand the context of the article.
  2. If you already have articles or posts which you have not optimized for keywords yet, you should find out which is the mostly used keyword. There are quite a lot of tools online which help to find out which is the mostly used keyword in your article. (Check Google for keyword density checker) If you discover, you should use that keyword in your web page address.
  3. Another valuable tip you should keep in mind when you make SEO friendly URLs is to avoid using unusual characters. I recommend you to only use words and maximum the “-” character to add space between the words. (Do not use “_” for space, it is not recommended nowadays.) By the way, never use space in the address as it cannot usually be handled by search engines.
  4. If you use some sort of scripts which create URL that contains unwanted characters such as %, check out the settings page to change it, if there is no possibility to modifying it, you should make changes in the script.
  5. Do not use upper-case letters and numbers, as well.
The best is that if you have the ability to add URL of the page before publishing your content. (For example, in WordPress you can easily make SEO friendly URLs by changing the permalinks settings). If you have already had posted content with a URL you want to change, you must be careful, though. If you change the URL, you will lose all the backlinks which point to that page. If the readers saved that the old webpage address, they cannot access the page in the future. On top of that having broken URLs on your website is critical for SEO. In order to avoid losing traffic, you should redirect the old page address to the new one. This can be easily done by 301 redirection.
Overall, making your URLs SEO friendly is a truly critical step for search engine optimization. If you have not done yet, it is time to start it!

Q: How to earn traffic to your blog?

Earning traffic on HitLeap is simple!
You earn traffic to your blog by clicking on the earn traffic to your blog link in the members area and keeping it open as long as possible.
You will be shown the sites of other members, just like other members will see your sites! By viewing their sites, you will earn "minutes".
If you are a regular member, you can earn traffic to your blog at a maximum rate of 60%. It means that you get back 60% of the time you keep the "earn traffic to your blog" link open. For example: If you keep it open for 5 hours, you will earn 60% * 5 hours = 3 hours = 180 minutes. The 180 minutes you earned is automatically used by our system to show your sites to other members for a total of 3 hours (180 minutes).
Don't forget that you can earn up to 110% of the time you surf instead of only 60% - all you need to do is become a Partner of Hitleap by upgrading your account
You also earn traffic to your blog from your referrals. Partners of Hitleap earn 50% of the traffic their referrals earn. The person who referred you would earn 50% * 3 hours = 1.5 hours of traffic from you (view the example above).
The easiest way to get massive amounts of traffic is to buy minutes from Hitleap - no need for any surfing! We have cheap packages available at all times and remember not to miss the occasional super specials we have!

Tips to Write a SEO Friendly Blog Post

Write a SEO Friendly Blog Post

Once you have your SEO priorities in order, consider the following tactics to make your blog post
as search engine friendly as possible.
  • 1. Determine the best keywords for your announcement. Depending on the news you are
issuing, they may vary from previously identified terms.
  • 2. Online keyword tools are excellent resources for determining the correct terms. If your
  • organization does not subscribe to a paid keyword service, consider these free alternatives:
a. www.adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
b. www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html
c. www.blogpulse.com/trend (to determine words most often used on blogs)
  • 3. Once keywords are determined, you may need to associate more colloquial words with
them, as company/marketing jargon isn't typically used in search.
  • 4. Use the most popular keyword phrase in the headline, which carries the most weight with
search engines, as well as in the body of the release and in hyperlinks.
  • 5. Pick one to three relevant keywords and repeat them at least three times in the release.
  • 6. Don’t OVER‐HYPERLINK words. Optimizing releases for words that are not used often in the
blog post can cause irrelevant results and be considered spam by some search engines.
  • 7. Include anchor text hyperlinks in the blog post that are your keywords or similar to
them. Make sure you link these words back to the appropriate page on your website. For
example, if you are linking a product name, link back to the product page on your site.
  • 8. Make sure the page you are linking back to is optimized for your chosen keywords. If the
anchor text is “accounting software,” be sure that it is linked to a page containing
“accounting software” in the title tag and within the text on the page.
  • 9. Place your anchor text links in the first two paragraphs. Search Engines will pick up these
words more efficiently if they are placed before the “fold” of the screen.
10. Keep blog posts short and concise. Most experts agree that the “sweet spot” for an SEO‐
friendly blog post is between 300 – 500 words.
  • 11. Ensure there is a balanced keyword to blog post word length ratio. Avoid too many
keywords and hyperlinks in shorter releases, and vice versa in longer releases.
  • 12. Include rich media content such as images and videos that will augment search engine pick
up in places such as Google Images or Google Video. Be sure all media‐rich content is
appropriately tagged with keywords.
  • 13. Include a link (not a hyperlink) to your website. Make sure to include the http:// of the URL.
  • 14. If the release has a subhead, make sure it includes a keyword phrase. Search engines give
more weight to bolded text (i.e. headline, subhead).
  • 15. Optimize your boilerplate – always include links and keywords.
  • 16. Resist the tendency to shorten terms. For example, if you are writing about your company’s
branded data management software product, you’ll be inclined to make the second mention
“the solution” or “the software.” However, people looking in search engines will type in
“data management software.” Repeating “data management software” as a keyword
phrase will help your release be found, while “the solution” will not. (But, try to keep the
writing as “natural” as possible.)
  • 17. If your company or product falls into a particular industry that is often referred to by an
acronym, include both the full term and abbreviation throughout the release. For example,
“Customer Relationship Management” should be referenced by its “full name,” and, “CRM.”
  • 18. Post all releases on their own permalinked page on your website in addition to sending it out
over wire services.
  • 19. Be consistent with keyword use both in blog posts and on your website. The website
should have a keyword density of between 2‐8%. This tool, www.keyworddensity.com,
allows you to enter your URL and chosen keyword for a complete keyword density analysis.
  • 20. Buy Adwords for those keywords that are very difficult to get in the first page of results (i.e.
those that are more generic and colloquial, or common industry terms). Putting this extra
cash to drive traffic to a blog post could be vital to helping the impressions of the
release, increasing visibility and the possibility of greater
